A year on from ITMs Sustainability Summit in London, we are joined by easyJet’s Head of Net Zero, Lahiru Ranasinghe, who will share the progress easyJet have and continue to make on their road to net zero.
Business travel is increasingly coming into focus for many organisations in relation to their net zero commitments. During this session our expert panel of travel managers will share the steps they are taking to build a sustainable travel programme and how they are consulting the business.
They will address some of the challenges they have experienced on their journey and discuss the importance of effective stakeholder management.
Bridging the gap between public commitments and implementation is a crucial first step in decarbonisation. Sustainable business travel programs are a catalyst for achieving your broader cost savings, productivity, and sustainability goals. By implementing innovative solutions that embrace sustainable best practices, the future of business travel is sustainable travel.
In this session, Clarasight co-founder Philip Charm will explain why, to truly make an impact on managing business travel emissions, it's critical to treat your carbon emissions like you do your financials and will break down the strategies and techniques forward-thinking organisations are doing to lead the way in sustainable travel.
The EU CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) regulations officially came into effect at the start of the year and will be a requirement for all applicable organisations operating in the EU.
Once we establish the immediate & fundamental impact and requirements posed by the CSRD on business travel & organisational reporting requirements, we can explore the wider opportunities that this initiative will bring to a travel program.
This includes evolving strategic applications of sustainability requirements to analysing tangible sustainability initiatives that run across the spectrum of the end-to-end travel journey. From travellers making the right choices at the right time, to full visibility of the impact on the company (and personal footprint). Taking this through to deciding the strategy for carbon reduction, removal and offsetting, these sessions will provide a robust, sustainable approach to a managed travel program in an engaging and interesting way.

In particular we will discuss how Travalyst is starting to evolve its frameworks to better suit the needs of the business travel sector.
