Voices of Excellence: Clarasight Leadership Team

Game Changer Team Award Winner – Clarasight

How does it feel for the Clarasight team to win the Game Changer Team Award?
Amazing! It’s a thrilling recognition that we’ve built something that’s delivering value and innovation into the market to help travel leaders achieve their cost management and carbon emissions targets with a level of fidelity that wasn’t previously available.

Your work has helped clients meet 100% of their carbon reduction goals — what’s been key to achieving that kind of measurable impact?
First off, we’ve been fortunate to work with amazing companies that are truly leading the sector forward. The key for us in working with these teams has been providing them with Clarasight’s tools and technology to build tailored targets for each segment of the business, and then giving team leaders predictive forecasting and guided real-time insights to confidently ensure they can achieve emissions goals without compromising business outcomes.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a team when trying to drive change in sustainability practices?

Like many new spaces, they often start in a silo — and sustainability began this way as well. We are firm believers, though, that the most successful programmes and leaders embed decision-making for both costs and carbon together. Clarasight has been able to build financial and emissions savings by creating a unified experience rather than a siloed one.

How does collaboration shape your innovation process internally and with clients?

As our clients will tell you, we are deeply collaborative partners and constantly seek their feedback to improve the product. We recently had a well-known travel buyer join our full-time team to influence our product development and bring subject-matter expertise to help travel programme leaders build exceptional programmes. The thing I believe drew her to us most was the rapid speed at which we ingest client feedback and — within days — often turn around product improvements to meet those needs.

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world – with no limits on budget or agenda – where would you go and why?

Adam: I would go to Patagonia. I absolutely love the mountains, and it’s one of the places that’s been on my bucket list for years.
Phil: I’ve been lucky enough to have been to Patagonia! It’s special. I’d like to get to the north of Japan. I also love the mountains and would love to experience the culture.
