Chris Pouney has over 25 years of experience in corporate travel, spanning supplier, buyer, and consultancy roles. His career includes seven years with financial services leader Citigroup, where he served as Global Travel Lead, overseeing complex international programs. As an independent consultant, Chris has partnered with both private and public sector clients worldwide, helping organisations transform their travel programs, optimise supplier relationships, and elevate traveller experience. He is also known for his work with industry suppliers, delivering workshops and coaching sessions that bridge the gap between corporate needs and market capability. Now with Astellas Pharma, Chris leads global travel transformation, having re-launched the company’s travel policy as a platform for standardisation and efficiency across 53 countries. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Procurement Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS), where he previously served as Chair of the Birmingham & Coventry branch.
